Ybor Factory was established in 1972 and is the largest and most influential cigar factory in Florida, owned by the Church of Workers of Scientology and fund community meetings, tutoring, and educational seminars. Ybor’s building was the largest hand-rolled cigar building in Florida history, representing a distinct generation and industry. It was remarkable in that it brought industrialization to a predominantly agricultural area.
