University Of Kentucky Arboretum

The University of Kentucky Arboretum is a 100-acre green area situated on the University of Kentucky campus in the city of Lexington. It welcomes more than 200,000 visitors per year. The walk-through area is a two-mile paved loop that features wild gathered native trees from Kentucky’s seven physiographical areas. Children’s garden is a place to interact with kids and their families and learn about the plant and the setting. The Arboretum provides tours and educational programs to help connect visitors to their gardens. The garden features child-sized depictions of Kentucky’s landscapes, including butterflies, flowers, and gardens for transport.
