The Military Reserve

Military Reserve covers nearly 479 acres is located in the northeast portion of Boise. It is reserved for several multiple features. The facilities in the area include a horse riding area, an old military memorial, hiking, and mountain biking trails. The access road and war memorial for these areas were included in the patent to help with the maintenance activities. The military cemetery is on a mountainside about 1.2 miles east of the United States administration hospital. It is a perfect place to walk with your dog, as there are many off-leash trails. The running path of the trail passes through the Freestone and Cottonwood Creeks.
