The Iowa Taproom’s building’s history stretched behind to 1882 when Iowa itself was just 36 years ancient. It supports the growing culture of variety, creativity, and perfection in Iowa beer, and it also keeps all of Iowa, from the farms to small towns and bigger cities. They salute the famous Iowa work ethic and seek to recognize their state’s heritage through reuse of historical elements in their décor, including their 1880s bar-top salvaged from a restaurant in Jewell, reclaimed barn wood, historic types, grain bins, machinery parts, salvaged fittings and more. The restaurant has 99 taps from over 35 Iowa breweries. Their unique Iowan-motivated choices and American ideals, including Iowa Chops, Morning farm burger, hand-breaded pork tenderloins, Iowa pork balls, chick wings, etc. The Iowa Taproom’s creme brulee cheesecake produced with a traditional combination of two classic cookies served with their house-made strawberry sauce.
