R.W. Norton Art Gallery

The R.W. Norton Art Gallery is a non-profit museum built-in 1966. It has an extensive permanent collection that includes more than 400 paintings and many sculptures representing over 100 artists. Their collection represents a wide assortment of styles, periods, and historical significance. Since its beginning in 1966, the museum has grown particularly well-known around the country for its impressive sets of works by those titans of western art, Frederic Remington and Charles M. Russell. Also, the Norton boasts an expanded research library consisting of nearly 10,000 books. The R.W. Norton Art Gallery is also a teaching museum that utilizes art to encourage community participation in thoughtful interpretations and discussions. There is no admission cost to view the grounds, the museum’s art collection, or special exhibitions. Visitors to the museum can also enjoy the garden, which is located along with the museum.
