Old State House is a historic building in Boston, Massachusetts. The old state house has been a witness and part of America’s evolution for over 300 years. The house was the seat of the Massachusetts General Court until 1798. The House is a different tool at the center of cultural and public life in Boston that shares the interwoven stories of these two historic sites. It provides many options for community excursions. Their artifacts include pieces relating to John and Dorothy Hancock, Boston’s maritime history, 18th to 21st-century firefighting, furniture, paintings, textiles & household. It affords free admission for youth (6-18), members, US military and veterans, Massachusetts teachers & EBT cardholders.
