Old Idaho State Penitentiary

The visitors can experience more than 100 years of Idaho’s different prison history with a visit to cell blocks, the Gallows, and solitary confinement. The museum allows families, school groups, and visitors to relive the Old Pen’s exciting past of daring escapes, scandals, and executions. Their staff is available throughout the site to answer questions and encourage safe practices. They offer free admission for their members. Old Idaho State Penitentiary provides free parking.
