Oakland Nature Preserve is a 128-acre park that provides tourists of all ages an environmental education and ecotourism activities. It offers environmental education and ecotourism activities for visitors of all ages. Visitors can enjoy hiking highlands trails or board walking to the Apopka park. Oakland Nature Preserve has a museum where visitors can get information and living specimens, including a tarantula, two snakes, frogs, lizards, and turtles. It also provides funding to support efforts to preserve the natural environment, educational programs, and a mission to educate the public. The boardwalk is 2/3 m long through colored lakes to a large, covered pavilion overlooking the Apopka lake. The boardwalk contains interpretive signage to identify plants and trees along the way and provides many opportunities to see ducks.
