National WWI Museum and Memorial is a well-known museum in America devoted to the history, remembrance, and appreciation of the Great War. In 1919 a community-based fundraising effort raised more than $2.5 million to construct the Liberty Memorial in less than two weeks. The Museum and Memorial house the world’s most extensive collection of artifacts and records from World War I and is the second-oldest public museum globally. During an exciting journey through a revolutionary time, guests of all ages share intensely personal tales of bravery, honor, loyalty, and sacrifice. It has attracted more than 100,000 people to see the top Allied commanders open the Liberty Memorial site. It affords free entry for children (under 6) and members.
