Leonard was employed at Snowflake Bakery until Leonard’s Bakery was established in 1952. Their team fries graciously-sized dough balls until they are golden brown on the surface and soft and fluffy on the inside, and they started creating malasadas as part of the Portuguese culture for Shrove Tuesday back in 1953.
