La Segunda Central Bakery’s history started with a soldier’s vision in the late 19th Century. Juan More’ founded La Segunda Central Bakery in 1915. It has satisfied clients with authentic Cuban bread since 1915. La Segunda is one of the very few bakeries to support the labor-intensive tradition. For over 100 years, they’ve used the same hand-baked method and traditional recipes to ensure a taste and texture that can’t be duplicated. They have skilled employees who are passionate about creating the most authentic Cuban bread in America. Their baked goods are made with high-quality ingredients without the use of chemical products. Each of their loaves is individually hand-placed into the home and left to bake for 45 minutes. Catering services are available at La Segunda.
