Jefferson Memorial Forest

Jefferson Memorial Forest is a Nature preserve comprised of 6,500 acres of forest. It features hiking, camping, and fishing facilities in a stocked lake. It is the County’s largest nature preserve and the country’s largest municipally-owned urban forest. Jefferson Memorial Forest is situated in Kentucky’s unique knobs area, which features steep wooded slopes that rise nearly 450 feet above the Ohio River Valley below.
