Dr. James K. Liu received an MD from New York Medical College with AOA honors and completed his Neurological Surgery residency at the University of Utah. He completed advanced fellowship training in skull base and cerebrovascular surgery and neuro-oncology at Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. James successfully performs the most innovative surgical techniques, including minimally invasive endonasal endoscopic surgery, image-guided keyhole microsurgery, and laser-assisted tumor surgery, to achieve the best results for his patients. He takes a unique and comprehensive approach to each patient. He delivers both traditional open and minimally invasive endoscopic endonasal skull base approaches. He focuses on the development of innovative and novel skull base and endoscopic techniques, quantitative surgical neuroanatomy, microsurgical and microvascular anastomosis skill training. He has published over 90 peer-reviewed publications & 14 book chapters.
