James J. Hill House’ was built in 1891, and it is a national historical landmark and an iconic icon of the summit avenue of St. Paul. A 36,000-square-foot manor house built for railroad giant James J. Hill in Minnesota. It holds 16 chandeliers, 13 bathrooms, 22 fireplaces, a reception hall almost 100 feet long, advanced mechanical facilities, and a two-story gallery of skylit art. The impressive features of the house, such as chandeliers, stained glass, and hand-carved woodwork, were sprawling throughout the building. The fourth floor contains a room stage capable of seating 200 spectators, a grand piano, and gymnastics equipment. It boasts state-of-the-art mechanical systems and indoor plumbing, plus exquisite stained glass and carved woodwork.
