Idaho Botanical Garden

Idaho Botanical Garden is a 50-acre botanical garden situated at 2355 North Former Penitentiary Way, Boise, Idaho, United States. Before 1973, the property served as a dairy and nursery for the New Idaho State Penitentiary. Since the penitentiary was demolished, the property remained unused for more than a decade, and the gardens were first established in 1984. Idaho Botanical Garden hosts organize activities throughout the year, including special events for families and children. Garden groups, events, and exclusive tours are announced on the Garden page. Their goal is to become a regional destination area, offering a lovely and quiet educational setting with essential and outstanding plant collections. It provides a beautiful environment for garden lovers, tourists, community events, weddings, school tours, and horticultural education. Idaho Botanical Garden offers free admission for children age three and under.
