Hinchliffe Stadium is a former home of great Negro League baseball. It is one of the few remaining stadiums in the country associated with Negro League baseball. It is a 10,000 seat horseshoe-shaped arena. The stadium was built between 1931-32, and its seating and amenities added 1932-34. Later its ownership was passed to the Paterson Schools, and then it underwent renovation in 1963. In March 2003, Hinchliffe Stadium was listed in National Historic Landmark.
