Cuong J. Bui, MD - Ochsner Medical Center

Dr. Cuong J. Bui is a licensed neurosurgeon, who graduated from Louisiana State University School of Medicine New Orleans in 1998, and performed his neurosurgery residency at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. Then, he finished his pediatric neurosurgery fellowship at The Children’s Hospital of Alabama in Birmingham. He currently practices at Ochsner Medical Center. Dr. Cuong is an expert in performing complex spinal, spinal, lumbar fusion, fetal surgery for spina bifida, and craniofacial surgeries. His spinal expertise includes occipital/cervical pathologies, spinal tumors, congenital spinal defects, Down’s syndrome, lipomyelomingoceles, spinal dysphemisms & myelomeningoceles. Dr. Cuong’s cranial expertise areas include providing the treatment of endoscopy, minimally invasive cranial procedures, complex shunts, oncology, and Chiari malformations.
