City Museum is a hundred-year-old building in the middle of St. Louis, where artists have repurposed the parts of old towns to create miles of tunnels, slides, adventurers, boats, and castles. You can see the work underway and the deployment. City Museum acquired over 60,000 glass lantern slides from the former Image Library. It collects and displays work by internationally renowned contemporary artists. Visitors can earn discounted tickets for groups aged 15 or older upwards. The crew installed a 500-foot cement and wrought iron serpent fence around the parking area of the warehouse. Exhibitors inspired by the building’s past as a multinational shoe company warehouse have installed an 18-foot shoe in the lobby to showcase a footwear show from all over the world. Children and adults can explore the underground passages and smooth tunnels to discover two vintage aircraft and a giant ball game. City Museum affords complimentary admission.
