Calvin Ecosystem Preserve & Native Gardens is a nature preserve located in Grand Rapids, MI. Its mission is to conserve, restore and interpret native ecosystems to inspire people to value and protect the wonder of creation. The Ecosystem Preserve features 44 public acres of forest, wetlands, and native gardens. Over a mile of trails are available for wandering, taking in the beauty of each season, and discovering flora and fauna of West Michigan. Trails are open every day from dawn to dusk; admission is free. The Bunker Interpretive Center is a LEED-certified education center open M-F, 9 am-4:30 pm, and features interactive seasonal displays. A variety of educational programs for all ages are offered throughout the year. Calvin Ecosystem Preserve & Native Gardens is the perfect spot for a family hike on the weekend.
