Bruce C. Welch, MD

Dr. Bruce C. Welch graduated from Saint George’s University/School of Medicine. He completed his medical degree at the St. George’s University School of Medicine. He did his residency at the Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Welch is federally accredited and approved to treat opiate addiction (opiates include codeine, pain medicine, heroin, etc.) using medications (buprenorphine) to reduce withdrawal distress. He uses highly effective, combined medication and therapy for smoking, alcohol addiction, and eating problems. Dr. Bruce C. Welch also expertise in Forensic Psychiatry and helped various cases. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and has a Fellowship in the University of North Carolina Hospitals.
