Ashland Henry Clay Estate is a nonprofit Memorial Foundation to promote the legacy of Henry Clay. It is the first national historic landmark architecture of 19th century Kentucky, 17 acres, formal garden, and seasonal café. It is dedicated to maintaining the memory of Henry Clay, one of America’s greatest statesmen. The original 672-acre estate of celebrated statesman Henry Clay once produced hemp, tobacco, and grain. The restored 18-room home, grounds, and beautiful gardens are open for tourists to explore. Enjoy the museum outdoors; store opportunities are abundant with a self-guided tour of the outbuildings, formal landscape, and walking paths, and Civil War monument; the grounds are free to visit. Special rates for classes of 10 or more and school groups. It affords free admission for children under five years.
