Above and Beyond Family Recovery Center (AnB) is the only behavioral harm-reduction addiction treatment center in the Chicagoland area. AnB is a 501C3 benevolent organization in addition to the U.S. Health Resources & Services Administration certified site (HRSA). Combining these two powerful designations makes AnB a beacon of hope and light in an area of a town shrouded in darkness, violence, and life-robbing addiction. AnB offers seven “open” (anyone can attend) self-help groups under one roof (AA, SMART Recovery, Recovery Dharma, Women for Sobriety, Men for Sobriety, WRAP, and LifeRing). They also offer 23 evidence-based process groups that assist patients in regaining their foothold in life. Their Master’s educated Therapists and Counselors work with their patients in learning how to move into and past debilitating uncertainty, pain, and discomfort on their journey. The treatment center maintains contact for three years to monitor and track the sustainability of its programs.
