Aviation Museum of Kentucky was built in 1995. During its anniversary celebration, it welcomes visitors from all 50 states and over 80 foreign countries. It was developed to make an immeasurable contribution to public awareness and passion for aviation. Visitors can learn and get details about flight science and its history. They provide a history of how Kentucky helped shape the field, which formed the world so much. The building has a display area of 20,000 square feet, a fully fitted aviation repair project shop, an office, a library/archive. The museum contains aircraft, equipment, and aviation objects, simulators, interactive exhibits, and a gift shop. It provides camps across Kentucky, in local communities. Their changing exhibits draw about 10,000 students a year to Blue Grass Airport in Lexington. For students, they have videos for each exhibit. It offers free entry for free admission for children (0-5 years), and museum members.
