Rio Grande Nature Center

Rio Grande Nature Center is a 50l(c)3 non-supporting nature center. Its mission is to preserve and protect the Rio Grande bosque and educate about the Rio Grande ecosystem. This 270-acre river forest and meadows area have hiking trails along the Rio Grande River. It welcomes 130,000 visitors to the Nature Centre. The center features lectures, guided walks, and other educational events. It has excellent bird watching throughout the year, allowing tourists to encounter around 250 bird species, including roadrunners and wood ducks. Enjoy a guided walk through the forests of Rio Grande. The Nature Center hosts the walk and opens your eyes and ears to the animals. Park visitors can observe river Sandhill cranes and treetop porcupines.
