Detailed Information
Riverside, The Farnsley-Moremen Landing’ is the cornerstone of Louisville, Kentucky’s 300-acre historic site. The house was built around 1837 and stood as a testament to the vital role farming along the river played in their country’s development. The entire 300-acre tract, including historic houses, was named in 1998 as a Jefferson County Historic Landmark District. The artifacts also offer essential information on everyday life in the 19th century. The site provides a stunning view of the Ohio River, surrounded by rolling hills on the opposite bank. It gives students a chance to spend the whole day at a riverside. It offers free admission for children five and under.
