Old Joliet Prison is a not-for-profit entity in partnership with the City of Joliet. The prison was built in 1858 & in operation until 2002; this prison was featured in The Blues Brothers’ film. The tour is a 90-minute walking tour of the Old Joliet Prison, covering the darker side of the historical site. Former Prison employees lead the prison. They follow a strict limit of 10 individuals per appointment window. 70% of the tour is accessible for all patrons.
